Add Dahua Camera to Hikvision Recorders

You want to connect a Dahua or Kbvision Camera to a Hikvision DVR, but haven’t found instructions yet. Please join me in following this article, which will guide you step by step on how to connect and add a Camera to the video recorder.

1. Convert compression standard to H.264 & Create an Onvif account on Camera

Currently Dahua and KBvision IP Cameras support Onvif version 2.4, you need to change the Camera compression standard to H.264 to use.

You need to set a Static IP for the Camera before adding it to the recorder. This will help you keep the connection back every time the network restarts.

Turn off Onvif authentication on Camera:
