Looking at license plates is a practical requirement in the surveillance camera system for neighborhoods and traffic. However, not all cameras can see license plates at night. In this article, I will show you how to set up detailed parameters.

1. Applicable model

To see license plates at night, you should choose IP cameras with multifocal lenses, Zoom lenses that only see the road surface will be more effective.

2. Installation requirements

• Installation height: 3 – 4m
• Distance from Camera to center of image: 10 – 15m (frontal)
• Width of observation road : 8m
• Maximum Zoom-IN adjustment, viewing angle ~ 30 degrees
• Average vehicle speed: 40 – 60 KM/H
